Space Raiders
Produced by Hopscotch Theatre Company, Space Raiders is a sketch comedy for young audiences about two AI space pirates on a cosmic quest to find Siri. On their journey across the universe, they collect relics of the past and present, discovering what it truly means to be human - and, more importantly, what it means to be friends.
Space Raiders was created in collaboration with the P4 and P5 classes at St Saviour’s Primary School in Govan through participatory in-school workshops. In our initial development period, we focussed on building sketches through a hybrid devised/writing process and finding creative ways of devising with AI. We will soon begin rehearsals for a full schools tour of the production.

Mouth Sounds
Mouth Sounds is a non-verbal, vocal sounding collective. We come together to create improvised experiments with the sounds we can make with our mouths; from drones to shouts, to screeches and hums, playing with pitch, volume and duration. Listening and togetherness are the guiding principles of Mouth Sounds. We try to enhance the sounds being made by the others in the space, encouraging participation and using visual scores, instructions and choreography to shape and extend our vocalisations.
We have begun to develop different strands of performance; donning oversized ears and engaging in character-driven, play-centred improvisation for young audiences as “The Listeners,” and for theatre/performance audiences, engaging in more abstract, structured improvisation. We also run workshops to share our practice with new groups and experiment with new forms of participation and collective sounding.

The Secret Lives of Christmas Trees
Commissioned by RIG Arts as part of the 2021 Light Up the Glen, The Secret Lives of Christmas Trees began as a site-sensitive performance procession through Auchmountain Glen in Greenock. Designed for families and created in participation with local residents, the show asks children and adults to think about what Christmas trees get up to when everyone else is asleep. As they travel through the magically lit-up glen in search of the elusive Shy Christmas Tree they hear the voices of the other trees that surround them and start to discover a world right under their noses, encountering their local area anew.
The performance has since been reworked to include a treasure hunt, where our audience find presents to give to our Shy Christmas Tree that help remind us of the words to our new Christmas hit so we can all sing along together. We have performed at many festive events across Glasgow and Paisley and continue to adapt the show to new spaces and settings.
